FAQ

How much money can I expect to spend on my wedding invitations? While I'd love to give you one, it's not quite a cut and dry answer. There are several factors that determine your over all price, including, paper and printing type, order quantity,  and additional embellishments and extras. We are happy to provide estimates, so please visit the CONTACT page and email us for a quote!

What information do I need to know before ordering invitations? From a design perspective, it's great to have your color scheme nailed down, as well as any stylistic ideas or themes you are going for. The most important details are your wedding date and time, the location, and when you want them mailed out. Other details that are helpful, but not immediately necessary, are reception meal choices (if applicable), accommodations information, a wedding website URL, and directions.

Will I receive a proof of the designs? Yes! We create 3 different designs for every custom order that you can choose from. These will be sent as a PDF via e-mail. You are then allowed 3 rounds of changes free of charge. Additional changes incur a fee. Once you've picked your final and favorite design, we will print a hard copy for you to keep. This is to make sure you are happy with the final printed colors and design before we print the remainder of your order.

Do I need to be local to order from you? Not at all! I'm happy to work remotely with you, over phone, e-mail or video chatting, whichever is most convenient and beneficial to you! Your invitations can be mailed to you or directly to your guests. There is a surcharge for us to mail them, in addition to the cost of postage.

What other stationery will I need in addition to my invitation? You will also need a response card and envelopes. Many brides also choose to include directions, accommodations, and web cards as well. This is all up to you and your preference and budget. I also recommend thinking about your day-of pieces during the same time so that your designs are coherent. These pieces include table numbers, programs, menus, place cards, favor cards, additional signage, and thank you notes.

How long does the process take from start to finish? It all depends on your timeline. We can work within a tight timeline, but prefer (for our sake and yours!) that brides provide ample design and editing time. We want your invitations to be perfect! We recommend starting the process as soon after your engagement as you feel ready. Save the dates can go out as far as a year in advance and no closer than 6 months out. Once we meet and discuss design ideas, a proof will be sent within 4 days. We are very prompt with edits and will respond quickly to your changes. Editing time can take as little or as long as you make it. Once we print your hard copy and it is approved, your invitations are ready to print! If there is still ample time before their mail date, we will wait to print them (we don't want them sitting on the shelf collecting dust). Your order will absolutely be ready by its mail date.
